Semi-Privates This type of session is similar to the private training, but you are working out next to one or two other people with one instructor.  You get more of an overall workout rather than a personalized program, but it is a great way to get to share the experience and cost with a friend.

Small Group If you have a handful of people that are interested in trying Pilates and working either on the equipment or on the mat, our knowledgeable instructors can give you a fun, dynamic session utilizing a variety of tools and exercises.

Therapeutic Privates Designed for clients with specific injuries, physical requirements, and limitations.

Pilates Mat Classes These larger group classes teach you how to create resistance in your own body on the mat. These pilates classes incorporate exercises which focus on stability THEN mobility, targeting your scapular region, abdominals and hips. The wide range of exercises also utilizes flex-bands, resistance circles, stability balls and BOSU balls. Classes are included free with a gym membership.

Background- In the Early 1900’s, Joseph Pilates developed an exercise program that utilizes unique equipment with adjustable springs and pulleys, while also creating resistance and strength within the body. Mat work classes teach the body how to use the lengthening of the muscle to create resistance, whereas the machines create progressive resistance helping produce muscle contractions that stimulate functional muscle action. There are over 600 exercises designed both for the machines and the mat making Pilates training continually challenging, interesting, and fun. Whether you are young or old, a rehabilitation patient or elite athlete, most people experience results equaling or often surpassing their fitness goals. Each program is designed specifically to meet the individual client’s fitness level, needs and goals. Exercises can be modified to be easier for beginners, more challenging for advanced clients, or gentler for safe rehabilitation of an injury or specific health issue. The movements require concentration and precision as you work your body, thus greatly improving strength, stability, posture, balance, flexibility, focus, spine health, and coordination.
