Boxing

Here at the Boxing Club we have boxing classes for all skill levels. If you are new to the sport, we suggest you start with the beginner's workshop. This will help you get a good handle on the fundamentals and build a solid foundation. If you feel you already have the basics down, join us in our intermmediate classes to work on perfecting your technique. If your technique is solid you can join us in our advanced level, sparring, which will give you a chane to build your skills by sparring other skilled athletes. 

The Boxing Workshop is a beginner instructional boxing class that will allow you to learn all of the basic fundamentals of boxing. Once you are comfortable in our Power Boxing classes, this class will then help advance your basic skill level in boxing. It is a slower paced class, but you will still get an amazing workout doing different types of partnered technical drills. Our coaches focus on the correct form of your punches, blocking and footwork. You will learn how to put punch combinations together while working on forward and lateral foot movement, as well as work on real time movement with your partner. The coaches will also have you perform different exercises to build up stamina in your shoulders and legs. Another main focus is learning about shadowboxing. Many new students can be intimidated when shadow boxing, because they do not have experience of putting together different combinations. This is a great class for anyone with the basic knowledge of boxing. It will help to improve your skill level so that you become comfortable enough to practice these drills on your own as well. This class will also benefit you when taking our Power Boxing or Power kickboxing classes because you will be able to utilize the skills you have learned to focus on each punch and get an even better workout. Once you are comfortable with all of the fundamentals in this class you will be ready to enter into one of our intermediate boxing class.
