Clark Gracie
~CLARK GRACIE~ Clark was born in San Francisco, Ca. into the “World renowned Gracie Family.” He was raised in both San Francisco and Rio De Janeiro, Brazil as he lived back and forth between the two. Clark, a “Brown Belt” under his father, the 1969-1972 “World Champion, Carley Gracie” and the grandson of the creator of the art known today as “Gracie or Brazillian Jiu Jitsu,” ‘Carlos Gracie.’ From childhood, Clark was exposed to many relatives whom he got his inspiration from; his father, uncles and cousins. Having been surrounded by great family Champions, this gave Clark the desire to be the Champion he is today. Having been born into the ‘Gracie’ family, Clark has competed and accomplished several challenges as he always had a strong desire to train. In 2005 Clark was “1st Place Champion” in the “San Diego Open.” He is a two time “U.S. National Champion” for 2005 and 2006. In April 2006, Clark was a “Pan American” Medalist. On October 14 2006, he won “1st Place” in the “Arizona State Grappling Challenge” and on November 4th 2006, he won “1st Place” in the “California Classic International Brazillian Jiu Jitsu Grappling” Tournament. Clark is very passionate about teaching his students to become Champions, just as the “Gracie” tradition. Clark is a true believer, that Jiu Jitsu is #1. His intentions are to pass on the “Knowledge and Respect” of Jiu Jitsu to all. And to pass on the “Confidence to be Calm in a Situation.” Clark’s words to you are: “THE GREATEST GIFT OF JIU JITSU IS THE LIFESTYLE THAT YOU CAN MAINTAIN; THAT ONLY THOSE WHO TRAIN CAN APPRECIATE!”
