Steve
Steven Wayne Garrett was born in Seoul, Korea on September 8, 1983. His Father was serving in the U.S. Army doing border security along the DMZ. His dad recieved orders back to the United States in 1987 and retired there that same year, landing the family in Arlington Texas. Steven started several martial arts in high school, but had the most success with wrestling, taking third place at the Korean - American Games in Houston in 2001 (Greco-Roman Wrestling). He then joined the United States Marine Corps in December of that year and became a heavy machine gun operator. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton California. After honorably serving his term of the four craziest years of his life, Steven realized that Texas was much too hot for him and opted to stay in San Diego. This led him to The Boxing Club in order to fulfill his need for training and competition. The Boxing Club has been a second home and family to Steven. Steven is known for his "rather die than quit" mentality which he credits to his tough Mother. With that attitude, Steven wants to become a name that is talked about for years to come when the topic of great Muay Thai fighters comes up. He brings this same never quit mentality to his boxing / kickboxing classes and is sure it will help his clients reach their personal fitness goals in the same way it is helping him reach his.
