High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
This is an intense class that uses a top fitness trend: HIIT or high-intensity interval training. HIIT is a training technique in which you will give all you’ve got – one hundred percent effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short (sometimes active) recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time. It is the ideal type of workout for someone with a busy schedule, because it achieves more work in a shorter amount of time than traditional cardio on the treadmill. This is a very fast-paced workout. Another great benefit of this type of training is it helps to burn more calories after the workout is over and your body is beginning to recover! Who doesn’t love that? It is a great type of training to do alongside weight training and boxing/kickboxing classes to speed up your fitness progress. Your endurance will be up, your heart will be healthier, and the excuse that you don’t have time will be eliminated. A major issue with cardio for some people is that you tend to lose muscle mass from long steady-state cardio training. With HIIT, studies have shown that it allows you to burn fat but keep the muscle that you have worked so hard to gain.
More than just your normal bootcamp
Our phenomenal instructors will put you through an amazing nonstop 45 minute class that blasts those extra calories away. You will being doing everything from glute exercises, burpees, kettlebell work, planks, and other killer fat burning exercises. It is great to do HIIT training 2 to 3 times a week for optimal results, so we have the Burn classes every day, Monday through Saturday, to make it easy for you to fit it into your busy schedule.
